I was born and raised in a quiet desert valley between the jagged peaks of the rocky mountains in British Columbia, Canada. I was the little girl who carried tarot cards in her backpack and loved ghost stories more than Robert Munsch. I was the kid who would pretend to cast spells and talk to fairies in the garden. I simply did not see or feel the same world that other people did. I remember waiting until nightfall to finally come alive and climb up the cliffs, trying with each step to get closer to the hum of the stars. There was something about that vast glimmering sky that made my heart vibrate with the only sense of home that felt real. I would come home and fall asleep to the hissing and chattering of sprinklers that were watering the peaches, pears, and apples that grew behind the house.

One day, despite their immense presence, those high rocky peaks couldn’t hold me in any longer, as soon as I could I left my little valley. I left for a life in fashion, finally my lanky, nearly 6 ft frame was serving me instead of making school dances a painfully awkward experience. I lost myself and then found myself in that industry. I learned more lessons in that 8 years of popping flashbulbs, agencies, photographs, and sleepy train rides than any school could have offered me. From that experience I saw that you can be creative, strange and successful. In fact, I once saw a designer make an exquisite pair of shoes out of a sheep’s horn and a few marbles, and in that moment I knew anything was possible.

Even though I was working as a model, I would know things about people- psychic things. It was my side passion. I would read for my roommates in the model apartments, for the hair stylist that was putting rollers in my hair, and for the make up artist that was curling my eyelashes. We would talk about past lives, relationships, life purpose, angels, star people, everything. Before I knew it I was filling notebooks up with messages in handwriting that wasn’t mine, from beings who felt more like family than anything I had experienced on Earth. The truth of it was that I had to get my mystical energy out for the day. Eventually, word got out and I began to do readings for friends of friends and thus my consulting practice began. I have never looked back.
